Colloquium Talk - Jacqueline Calderón
Join us for the first of our LAC-focused colloquium series, featuring Jacqueline Calderón (Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí) as she explores new evidence from Mexico on the link between environmental risk factors and breast cancer. Discover how this crucial information can be used to shape public health policy and improve outcomes for affected communities.
Additionally, the colloquium will outline the practical outcomes of the EAAMO Social Hackathon, an initiative aimed at developing practical tools to address these challenges.

EAAMO Social at ICML’24
ICML 2024 in Vienna hosted the "Equity and Access in Algorithms, Mechanisms, and Optimization" social event, focusing on bridging machine learning research and practice for marginalized groups. Introduction by EAAMO directors Ana-Andreea Stoica and Sandro Radovanović, as well as short talks by Celestine Mendler-Dünner and Luke Guerdan, highlighted the event. The gathering concluded with engaging discussions on algorithmic fairness and strategic behavior.
